Year 9 Panto Goes “Down the Rabbit Hole”
This week, around sixty talented Year 9 Drama students are presenting nine separate pantomime performances to more than 1,000 children and special guests from all over the Lower Eyre Peninsula.
This year’s show – brilliantly conceived and directed once again by PLHS Drama teacher Mrs. Helen Marks – is an adaptation of English author Lewis Carroll’s 1865 children’s novel, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”. Her interpretation of the classic fantasy tale incorporates elements of both the Disney and Tim Burton versions, with a few original twists thrown in.
Aside from the highly engaging performances from our young actors, the show was complemented by visually spectacular sets, costumes, props, lighting and technical effects.
Bravo to the entire team (including Assistant Director Ms. Lynn Campbell) for your amazing efforts – your fantastic journeys “down the rabbit hole” are bringing joy to audiences young and old.
