Success for PLHS at 9-a-side Footy Carnival
On June 20th, PLHS sent four teams to Ravendale to participate in the annual 9-a-side football carnival. A lot of football talent was on display and multiple PLHS teams ended up winning their year level competition.
The Year 9 team experienced mixed results throughout the day, but they managed to secure themselves a spot in the semi-finals. After winning the semi, they earnt themselves an opportunity in the grand final, where they were victorious in a nail-biting game.
The Year 8 competition saw PLHS nominate two teams to participate; both were very competitive but just fell short of the flag. A special mention to the Year 7 students who helped to fill both of the Year 8 teams – this resulted in them playing 8-9 games for the day.
Lastly, our Year 7’s enjoyed an undefeated carnival; they displayed high levels of skill, teamwork and overall fun throughout the day.
