PLHS SAASTA Class Excels at 2023 Power Cup
Port Lincoln High School’s SAASTA class recently spent three days in Adelaide participating in the 2023 Santos Aboriginal Power Cup. Our students were joined by around 500 of their peers representing 62 academies from all over South Australia.
A leadership seminar at Flinders University on the first day was followed by two days of highly competitive football matches at Karen Rolton Oval – our girls won every game while the boys only lost one.
During the awards ceremony at Adelaide Oval, Port Lincoln was awarded the prestigious Academic Award and our female team won the Teamwork Award, which was an amazing achievement for the class.
Our girls were then selected to play Christies Beach in the Power Cup Grand Final before the Port Power versus Melbourne Demons AFL game and ultimately won the 2023 SANTOS Power Cup!Â
