PLHS Music Staff & Students Deliver Jam Session
PLHS staff and students were treated to a musical jam session in the Hall during lunchtime earlier today. Our Senior Music students rotated through various instruments to deliver a set of rock and reggae classics to the appreciative audience – Jimi Hendrix, Guns ‘n Roses, Bob Marley and the Red Hot Chili Peppers were amongst the artists covered.
The student performers (from both the main site and the TLC) were expertly supported by PLHS Music staff including Mrs Helen Marks (vocals), Mr Stephen Campbell (bass) and Mr Josh Phillips (guitar). The gig also served as an assessment task for the students, who were recorded delivering their ensemble and solo performances.
It was wonderful to witness current students, former students and teachers collaborating to create music alongside each other – encore!
