PLHS Commemorates 2022 Reconciliation Week

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. Congratulations to the PLHS Aboriginal Education Team for organising and facilitating our school’s commemoration of this year’s NRW.
The images below depict staff and students participating in a host of educational, thought-provoking and enjoyable activities, ranging from a display of Indigenous artefacts in the Aboriginal Education Room, a longest kick competition, a speed puzzle challenge, a field of hands featuring reconciliation pledges and a viewing of Nunga Screen 2022 at the Nautilus Arts Centre. Furthermore, several informative seminars have been staged during Dharna Group and staff professional development sessions.
Congratulations to all staff and students who positively engaged in the spirit of reconciliation.
