Lino-Printing Workshop for Year 8 P.L.A.C.E. Class
Earlier today, our Year 8 P.L.A.C.E. (Port Lincoln Art Centre Enterprise) students attended a printmaking workshop at the Nautilus Arts Centre, taking inspiration from the bold and decorative prints of acclaimed South Australian artist Barbara Hanrahan.
The workshop was facilitated by local artists Sandy Harder and Roxanne Prime and was the result of a collaborative presentation between Flinders University Museum of Art and Country Arts SA.
Our students described Barbara’s work as “very detailed; full of pattern and life.” They said the experience was “amazing!”, adding that they “liked the printing process” and “it was good to be in a new environment with other artists for inspiration.”
