Images from the School Tours & Time Capsule Ceremony
Last weekend, hundreds of former PLHS students and staff returned to the school to help us celebrate our 100th birthday. We estimate nearly 600 people visited the campus across the two days – this number was significantly more than we were expecting.
Patrons enjoyed participating in guided school tours (despite the uncomfortable weather conditions on the Saturday), browsing a hundred years’ worth of school photos/archives, purchasing centenary souvenirs, watching our big barramundi being fed in the Aquaculture Centre, attending BCA’s thanksgiving service and afternoon tea, and feasting on a sausage sizzle lunch courtesy of the Rotary Club of Port Lincoln.
On the Sunday morning, around eighty people attended our time capsule ceremony at the steps near the entrance to the Hall. Current Principal Student Leader Denise Sadiwa unveiled the time capsule that was interred back in 1988, with the contents later displayed in the Resource Centre. She then replaced the 1988 capsule with a 2023 version – hopefully, Denise is there to see it come back of the ground one day!
