COVID-19 School Update (Week 1, Term 3)
Dear Parent/caregivers,
Level 4 COVID restrictions were implemented at midnight last night. Please note, the following relates to Port Lincoln High School until at least the end of Week 1:
- face masks are encouraged for people aged 12 years and older but are not mandated while on site
- parent/caregiver and community visitors have been restricted on site; normal drop-off and pick-ups are still appropriate via the Front Office
- school sport has been cancelled
- PE classes will run as normal
- singing and dancing will continue within an education setting
- families wanting to keep their children at home can do so; please let the school know if this is occurring; the Department for Education have notified schools that learning-from-home programs will not be offered at this point, unless students are directed to self-isolate at home by SA Health
- if students are sick, please keep them home
As more information comes to hand, I will keep you updated. The following directions will be reassessed this Friday (July 23rd).
Yours sincerely,
Todd George (PLHS Principal)
