Year 12s & Year 2s “Play with Technology”
For their final practical activity on Tuesday, our Year 12 Child Studies class worked with their Year 2 buddies from Port Lincoln Junior Primary School on the theme of “Play with Technology”.
Our Year 12 students created a virtual tour of the cultures taught here at PLHS – Aboriginal Education, Indonesian and Japanese – creating Canva and PowerPoint presentations to engage the young children in learning.
The Year 2 students enjoyed learning about each culture and demonstrated their understanding through Kahoots and quizzes, as well as engaging in hands-on activities including Japanese calligraphy, shadow puppet-making and damper tasting.
It was a wonderful presentation and a fantastic celebration of learning, culture and connection. What a brilliant way to finish for our Year 12 Child Studies students!
