Two More Open Night Science Experiments
As reported earlier in the week, visitors to the Stamford Floor during tomorrow's Open Night (4:30~6pm) can view aquariums created and managed by our Year 9 Science students during their introduction to Aquaculture, plus use microscopes to search for microorganisms in water samples. As pictured here, two other fascinating exhibits will also be available to try.
The first is a refraction experiment called "Spearing Success" that was devised and delivered by four of our Year 8 students at the recent Young Aboriginal STEM Thinkers of South Australia (YASTSA) Congress in Adelaide. Can you successful spear the squid?
The second invites guests to combine two liquid chemicals together to form a soft, flexible gel - depending on your syringe technique, you can in the create either jelly balls or jelly string.
See you in the Science Labs!
