New Electronic Exam Era Underway at PLHS

The South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) is the first senior-secondary curriculum in Australia to move to electronic exams. Earlier this afternoon, this new era began at Port Lincoln High School with thirteen students sitting the electronic exam for Stage 2 English Literary Studies in our new STEM Centre.

Key teachers, ICT and administrative staff, together with Mr Greg Fitzgerald as the English Literary Studies teacher have worked in partnership with myself and the SACE Board’s project team to ensure both our students and infrastructure were prepared for this event. Electronic exams open up exciting new possibilities for students to demonstrate their learning, using online resources and technology that are second nature in today’s world.

We look forward to 2019 when access to electronic exams will be extended to further Stage 2 subjects.

Written exams continue for our Stage 2 students until Friday November 16th in the Port Lincoln Hotel’s function rooms.
