National Science Week Activities for PLHS Students

Next week is National Science Week and we have an EPIC lineup of lunchtime activities planned to celebrate this year’s theme: “Decoding the Universe – Exploring the Unknown with Nature’s Hidden Language”. 🌌✨

💥 Our incredibly talented and knowledgeable Science faculty members are giving up their lunch breaks to run hands-on, minds-on activities — we just need YOU (our students) to come along! 🎯

Here’s what’s on each day:

🧬 Monday – SCINEMA + DNA Lollie Lab

🎥 Short film + build your own DNA strand with lollies!

🌻 Tuesday – Fibonacci & Golden Ratio in Nature

🌿 Explore patterns in plants, pinecones and shells — discover the maths behind beauty.

🧠 Wednesday – Brain Break Science Quiz

🎤 Kahoot-style trivia showdown! Prizes up for grabs! 🧠🔥

🔐 Thursday – Hidden Codes: Cryptic Science Lab

📡 Make binary bracelets, decode Morse messages, and reveal UV secrets!

🎬 Friday – SCINEMA Encore + DNA Art Challenge

🎨 Watch. Reflect. Create. Science meets creativity.
