To celebrate Mother’s Day, the Year 10 Essential Mathematics classes of Mrs. Nat van Riet and Mr. Ben Henrichs combined to create some sweet, tasty treats to give out at “Fred’s Van” on Sunday night.
The students used their knowledge of ratios and measurement to create caramel slices, and hand wrote the labels. The PLHS “Fred’s Van” team then gave them out to the mothers and special people as a gift to take home.
Our Year 10’s were keen to bake, however when they were told who the slices were going to, their enthusiasm levels increased further. It was lovely to see the students get involved to appreciate members of our community.
