At the end of 2023, some of our Year 8 and 9 Japanese language students made Christmas cards to send to Japanese students at our sister school, Muroto High School. In the cards they wrote a message in Japanese and English introducing themselves and describing how we celebrate Christmas in Australia. We also sent the students some Australian-style Christmas decorations and Caramello Koalas to try.
Recently, we received a package in return from Muroto High School. Their students had written replies and sent some Japanese snacks to sample. Our students were very happy to receive the cards, practice their translation skills and of course, the snacks were very popular too!
