Thank You for Attending Our Open Night
Port Lincoln High School wishes to thank the hundreds of students, parents and other family members who braved last night’s threatening weather conditions to participate in our final Open Night for 2023.
Those in attendance seemed to enjoy the opportunity to wander around the campus, meet the staff and find out about a range of our school’s learning and extra-curricular programs. It was particularly great to see current Year 6 students and their families familiarising themselves as part of their transition to high school.
Highlights from the evening included the performance by our Concert Band, seminars about our Corrective Reading program and The Resilience Project, the sausage sizzle (courtesy of the Rotary Club of Port Lincoln), sessions in our virtual reality lab and court sports in the Gym, barramundi feeding in the Aquaculture Centre and access to 100 years of school archives in the Resource Centre.
Towards the end of the evening, many gathered inside the Specialist Building to attend the official opening of “ERSTELLEN”, our 2023 Year 12 Art/Design Exhibition.
Thanks again to last night’s patrons, and to the dedicated staff who were on hand to again showcase PLHS in our centenary year – Non Nobis Solum.
