JP Book Critics Attend Indonesian Class

This term, my Year 9 Indonesian crew were set the task to create a children’s story that included Indonesian language, culture and themes. The students executed an extensive drafting and research process before creating an A3 big book suitable for a junior primary audience of readers.

Earlier today, Bu Portia Veldhuyzen and her Year 2 class from the Port Lincoln Junior Primary School visited our Indo classroom. During their visit, the following Year 9’s – Sienna Sizer, Lily Hale, Chelle Clark, Gracie Fraser, Melika Goldsmith-Doudle, Tyler Cowley and Ryley Gilchrist – read their books to small groups of Year 2 students and received some very constructive feedback and comments.

Our students were very thoughtful and patient with their younger guests; all involved had a wonderful time with many more visits planned for the future.

Terima kasih!
