As part of their SACE Stage 1 Personal Learning Plan subject, our Year 10 students are required to learn about employment pathways and job opportunities. To provide a genuine experience for this year’s group, we were fortunate to have ten former PLHS students come back to school for a morning; they each ran a short information session, talking about their school experience, pathway, job roles, valued workplace attributes and their advice for our current students.
The Year 10’s chose two sessions to attend across two days, gaining valuable information and advice from people who have once been in their position at PLHS.
A special thank you to the ten ex-students – (pictured above L-R) Elly Schultz, James Blewit, Katie Allen, Clifford Warrior, Michael Paech, Tim Brooks, Logan Dennis, Matt Dodd, Nathan Taylor, and Diana Alonso-McLeod – who volunteered their time to run a session. It was wonderful to have them all back at PLHS to share their experience and expertise.
