Last week, Ms. Shantelle Pickett and Mr. Brendan Welsh accompanied nine Year 9 SAASTA Connect students to Adelaide for the SAASTA Connect Cup. This annual event is a one-day nine-a-side football carnival hosted by the Port Adelaide Football Club. To be eligible to attend, students need to complete curriculum tasks and adhere to behaviour and attendance expectations.
Our students flew over the day before the competition, stayed overnight at TAFE SA’s Regency International House accommodation and toured some of Adelaide’s attractions.
The nine-a-side tournament was a real highlight for the team (despite the hot weather) and was a fitting reward for displaying the SAASTA values throughout the year.
