Last week saw the remaining Year 8 groups attend one of three consecutive Friday Fun Days at the Port Lincoln Yacht Club and foreshore.
Our Year 8 students participated in a variety of team-building activities during the morning sessions – these included tower building with marshmallows and spaghetti, making models of teachers using plasticine (results below) and a tennis ball relay. They had a wonderful time and there were plenty of laughs and entertainment shared amongst the groups.
The afternoon sessions were spent out on the foreshore lawns near the Yacht Club. Xtreme Kites & Paddle set up three activities for the Year 8’s to try – Bubble Soccer, Archery Tag and Sumo Wrestling. All three were a huge hit with the students and it was wonderful to see every single one of them have a go!
Thank you to the accompanying PLHS staff for their help with supervision – special mentions go to Amber Mullins and Nicole Carter for their assistance in organising and attending all three days, and preparing the lunch/snacks.
