It has been arts and crafts time in my Year 8 HASS class recently; for the last two weeks, the students have been designing totems inspired by the Polynesian gods that we have ben studying – they have used either cultural artistic styles or imagery that symbolises the traits of their chosen God.
They’ve done such a good job at combining their research and their creativity that they will be displayed in the Resource Centre for the rest of the term; PLHS staff and students are encouraged to pop in and check out their handiwork.
