Last week saw 115 PLHS students out in the community completing a work experience placement as part of their Year 10 PLP course. Work experience provides students with the opportunity to trial an interested field and gain confidence in themselves, the workplace and social situations.
“This vital program is greatly appreciated by our students, their families and the PLHS staff; it allows us to strengthen our ties within the community whilst enabling our students to further develop the skills and abilities required to become a valued employee” (~Ms Tiffany Evans, Work Experience Coordinator)
Our school is incredibly grateful to the supporters of our Year 10 Work Experience program. Our local businesses and organisations go out of their way to assist our young people make a successful transition from school.
