Time Capsule Letters Available at Old Scholars’ Launch

A few weeks ago, we published an article about the Port Lincoln Lions Club opening a time capsule that was interred at Ravendale Oval in July, 1978. As you may recall, inside the fibreglass box were dozens of envelopes addressed to a host of local individuals, families, businesses and community groups, including two for Port Lincoln High School.

A copy of that article can be found here: Two Envelopes for PLHS Inside Lions Time Capsule – Port Lincoln High School

We are delighted to announce that we are now in a position to share the contents of the two envelopes, in particular, the host of letters that were written by the PLHS students of that era from classes 9.7 (Teacher Michele Cauchi) and 10.3 (Deputy Principal Nancy Collinson).

* Please note: we are well aware of the sensitivities surrounding the publishing of a list of names such as this, particularly for the families of any persons who may have passed away; we apologise for any distress this may cause.

Any of the people listed above (and/or close family members) are invited to join us at tomorrow night’s function to your reconnect with your letter and share your memories of PLHS in the 70’s.
