House Spirit on Display at Standards Athletics

In the lead-up to Sports Day, Port Lincoln High School students attend Standards; this event is an opportunity for each year level to attempt several track and field disciplines and score valuable points for their house.

Run across two consecutive days, Standards is coordinated by the House Captains, with valuable supervision and support provided by staff, primarily from within our HPE faculty.

Today, our Year 10, 11 and 12 students are having a go at athletic events such as the 100m, long jump, high jump, javelin and discus. Tomorrow, the Year 7’s, 8’s and 9’s get their turn.

Congratulations to all of today’s competitors and the House Captains on your active participation and determined efforts. As well as some serious athletic ability, there was plenty of team spirit and positive encouragement on display throughout the day.

Looking forward to Sports Day (Thursday March 6th at Ravendale) – may the best team win!
