In order to prepare for next month’s Sports Day, PLHS staff participated in an athletic session on the Oval yesterday. As well as practicing some of the finer points of the timing and scoring requirements, the staff crew completed a number of track and field Standards events in their respective Sports Day houses.
Each house crew rotated through the 100 metre “sprint”, shot put, javelin and long jump disciplines, with each attempt earning valuable house points.
Congratulations to Mrs. Yasmin Sampson and the HPE crew for their wonderful organisation and delivery of this highly enjoyable session. As these images clearly show, the staff combined their natural athletic ability with wonderful house and crew spirit.
