Earlier this year, Year 9 student Ruby Gamlin submitted a grant application to Edstart’s Achievement Awards Program; this is an opportunity for students to be recognised in an area they are passionate about, with six different award categories available, each coming with a $1,500 grant.
We are delighted to report that Ruby has just been announced as one of six finalists in the Sustainability and Environment category. The project that she is hoping to fund is the school herb garden initiative that she commenced last year as a member of the Youth Environment Council of South Australia.
Edstart’s panel of judges are currently reviewing the finalists in each category with winners will be announced on Wednesday July 19th. Fingers crossed, Ruby!
