Recently, our Year 9 Japanese students were excited to receive some photographic postcards from our sister school in Japan; each postcard featured an image of a location around Muroto on the front, with hand-written messages from the students on the back.
The Muroto High School students had taken photos of places of personal significance to them, including locations such as the Muroto UNESCO Global Geopark and Cape Muroto Lighthouse. In response, our students have been taking some photos of our local area and have composed messages in reply, introducing themselves and explaining their photo choice; we look forward to sending our postcards soon.
Through the sharing of information about ourselves and where we live, these interactions continue to build stronger cultural connections.
