On Thursday November 21st, ten PLHS students went along as helpers to the annual SA Variety Children’s Christmas Party. These wonderful young women were amazing in their engagement with sick, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the Eyre Peninsula. Their role was to encourage the children in attendance to dance, play carpet bowls, get their face painted, line up for a balloon animal or sword, sing, form conga lines, welcome Father Christmas and dance some more!
Our school has been involved with this event in Port Lincoln each year. It is such a fantastic opportunity for our students to provide some community service to others. The fact that it is fantastic fun is a bonus! It is such a rewarding and heart-warming experience, that the students often ask to be involved again the following year.
Well done to our PLHS representatives (listed below); they have done us proud!
