Content:

The (Semester 2) Year 9 Pantomime has been a long-standing tradition of PLHS. Children from all across the Lower Eyre Peninsula have travelled to the PLHS Hall to watch a performance that has been created just for them!

Aimed at pre-school to Year 4 aged children, the Panto is a children’s theatre performance that is conceptualised and realised by Year 9 Drama students, who are involved in all aspects of the dramatic process. Students foster an understanding of the page-to-stage progression in action by being active participants in the Panto’s development. Students take responsibility for creating all of the elements of drama for the production, working as an ensemble to realise their ideas. The semester’s work culminates in a week of performances to the young audiences.

Students are able to choose how they would like to be involved in the Panto. Roles include, but are not limited to:

  • Acting
  • Backstage elements
  • Stage Manager
  • Designers
  • Construction
