Last weekend, our Year 10 Photography class entered nineteen photos into the 2018 Cummins Agricultural & Horticultural Society’s Annual Show. I am very proud to announce our winners and participants in the Under 17 Photography Competition.
Of the nineteen photos, ten were awarded a first, second or third place. The students submitted their own photos, with some taken whilst on our latest Port Lincoln excursion.
- Sara Bennie won first place for her articulate view of an anchor chain
- Jessica Canty won two firsts, a second and a third, as well as receiving a $20 EP Surf voucher for “Runner Up Most Points”
- Vanessa McMillan won a first and a third; the first place was even more special due to the fact that she not only captured the image, but also created the featured artwork; a shout out to her Art teacher, Wanda Jarvis!
- Hayley Johnson won a first prize for her black and white submission of “The Bugler”
- Liam Docking received a second place for his creative view of a railing at the local skate park
- Jock Carr won first place in the Agriculture class for his image of a working windmill as well as receiving an “Outstanding Exhibit” certificate
Congratulations to all participants on this wonderful recognition for your creative efforts.
