Reminder of PLHS Hot Weather Policy
PLHS parent/caregivers and students are reminded of the school’s Hot Weather Policy…
If the weather report on the 7pm ABC1 TV News bulletin forecasts a maximum temperature for the Port Lincoln district of 38°C or higher for the following day, the school’s Hot Weather Policy will be implemented:
- Year 8, 9 and 10 students will be dismissed at 12.50pm (the start of lunch)
- SACE Stage 1 and 2 classes will run as normal
- bus students (and any other students who do not have parental permission to leave) will be supervised in air-conditioned spaces until our regular dismissal time of 3:10pm
