Maho Visits Japanese Classes

Yesterday, our Japanese classes enjoyed a visit from Assistant Language Teacher, Miss Maho Kimura from Osaka, Japan.

Maho arrived in Port Lincoln at the start of the year and has been working as a voluntary teaching assistant at Navigator College this term. She will be working at St. Joseph’s School in Term 2 before joining us at PLHS in Term 3.

Maho has been studying English Literature in Japan and working towards gaining her teaching qualifications. She hopes to further her English speaking skills by meeting lots of people in Port Lincoln this year. Maho enjoys reading, dancing and loves The Beatles.

Homestay experiences will also provide Maho with opportunities to connect with Australian families while she is with us – please contact me at PLHS if you would be interested in hosting her during Term 3.

Having an Assistant Language Teacher such as Maho provides a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn about and share cultural experiences, as well as develop their conversation skills in an authentic way.

We greatly look forward to working with Maho this year.
