137 Certificates Presented at Awards Assembly
At a whole school assembly staged in the Gym earlier today, 137 certificates were presented to students across all six year levels - these were in recognition of their outstanding achievements last term and throughout Semester 1. We were thrilled to host a record number of proud parents and caregivers at today's awards ceremony, and at the packed celebratory luncheon which followed in the Staff Room.
Today’s assembly was again well compered by School Captains Airlie Hartwich and Max Stanley. The proceedings commenced with a Welcome to Country delivered by Year 9 student Skyla Long with an Acknowledgement from Year 8 student Anastasia Charnock. They were followed by Mr. Craig Akehurst, who discussed the themes of success and belonging in his Principal’s Address.
Year Level Support staff then announced the names of all those who had earned Academic Excellence Awards (based on outstanding grades on their Semester 1 report cards) and/or Crew Awards (for consistently demonstrating our three school values – Responsible, Respectful & Inclusive), with Channel Leaders and Dharna Crew Leaders presenting certificates of achievement to the worthy recipients.
Congratulations to all of today’s award-winners and many thanks again to the parents/caregivers who supported our event. Non Nobis Solum.
