PLHS families are advised that the thresholds for School Card eligibility for have been increased. Some families who have never previously been eligible may now qualify.
School Card allowance for Secondary Students is $310.00. Eligibility is not automatic from one year to the next and assistance is dependent upon family gross income for the 2016/2017 financial year, as per below:
ONE DEPENDENT CHILD:
- Annual School Card Income Limit: $57,870
- Average Weekly School Card Income Limit: $1,113
TWO DEPENDENT CHILDREN:
- Annual School Card Income Limit: $58,903
- Average Weekly School Card Income Limit: $1,133
THREE DEPENDENT CHILDREN:
- Annual School Card Income Limit: $59,936
- Average Weekly School Card Income Limit: $1,153
FOUR DEPENDENT CHILDREN:
- Annual School Card Income Limit: $60,969
- Average Weekly School Card Income Limit: $1,173
FIVE DEPENDENT CHILDREN:
- Annual School Card Income Limit: $62,002
- Average Weekly School Card Income Limit: $1,193
EACH ADDITIONAL DEPENDENT CHILD:
- Annual School Card Income Limit: $1,033
- Average Weekly School Card Income Limit: $20
