The National School Chaplaincy Program (NSCP) aims to support schools in promoting the wellbeing of students – in South Australia, funds are provided to employ Pastoral Care Workers (PCW) to complement the existing wellbeing services within the school community.
Port Lincoln High School is pleased to introduce our newest Pastoral Care Worker (and ex-PLHS student), Ms. Holly O’Brien (pictured). Holly will support the school in its aim to be a safe and supportive learning environment, by role modelling and mentoring, contributing to extra-curricular activities, engaging in the life of the school and community, and linking families to community resources and services. She can also provide ongoing social, emotional and spiritual support to individual students (with the consent of their parent). PLHS does not promote nor discriminate on the grounds of any particular ideology, but works to enable a supportive, inclusive and caring learning environment within the school for all students.
Holly will work alongside our existing PCW Mr. Kyle Bond, providing pastoral care services to our staff and students as required.
Welcome back, Holly!
