For the last two lessons of their STEM rotation, I set my Year 8 class a fun, practical problem-solving challenge. The students were asked to create a roller coaster for a marble using nothing but halved pool noodles and sticky tape.
I was amazed at how innovative and engaged the students became with this task. After collaborating in small groups to produce their first solution, they decided to join forces in order to create a class roller coaster. This was a lot of fun, with the students using three walls and most of the pool noodles.
I would like to thank the class for their hard work and for allowing us to finish on such a fun note!
