Exciting Exposure Camp for TLC Crew

The following students from Port Lincoln High School’s Transition & Learning Centre recently participated in an exciting Exposure Camp during the final three days of Term 2:

  • Layla Cowell
  • Kayne Green
  • Jessica Greenfield
  • Jasmine Grocke
  • Ellie Makuch
  • Zane Pulford
  • Jesse Sewer
  • Bella Symons
  • Kiarah Taylor
  • Jay Trezise
  • Sienna (Forest) Whillas

Our journey took us through Port Augusta, where we enjoyed the unique opportunity to meet with the foreman overseeing construction of the new Technical College, before heading on to Adelaide, our capital city.

For many students, this trip was filled with first-time experiences, including their inaugural camp, time away from parents, visits to the Adelaide Oval, Rundle Mall, the Art Gallery of South Australia, and the SA Museum, as well as their first encounters with public transport and dining out.

A memorable moment occurred on the train when an elderly woman expressed her delight in meeting our students from PLHS, noting how they brightened her day despite her usual struggles with young people.

We continue to take immense pride in this group, as once again, they supported one another, stepped outside their comfort zones, and created a wonderful atmosphere together. Special thanks go to accompanying TLC staff Frani Todd, Sharon Wait and Quinn Dutschke for their exceptional support throughout the experience.
