During yesterday’s long Dharna Group session, our Year 7 students had the opportunity to sign up for and participate in one of five fun activities – Cooking, Mat Ball, Board Games, (Ephemeral) Art or Golf. These were offered as a way of rewarding the group for successfully making it through their first semester of high school.
Thankfully, the weather held off for the eager golfers – the winners of the “Nearest the Teacher” competition were Jackson Murphy and Elsa Burgar (pictured with Mr. Shaun Thomas).
The Year 7 Dharna Group teachers (who organised and delivered the activities) were impressed with positive engagement levels from their respective groups – hopefully, a similar opportunity presents itself later in the year.
