Port Lincoln High School’s $15M redevelopment was officially opened yesterday by South Australian Education Minister, the Honourable John Gardner MP. Minister Gardner was the guest of honour at a small ceremony held inside our new Specialist Building, which was also attended by several other invited guests (including outgoing Member for Flinders, Mr. Peter Treloar MP), PLHS staff and students, and the local media.
PLHS Principal Mr. Todd George compered proceedings, which included an Acknowledgement of Country by Year 12 students Sabrina Burgoyne and Makayla Piddington, and speeches by Minister Gardner, PLHS Governing Council Chairperson Mr. Brian Gabb and Port Lincoln Special School Principal Mr. Matt Syme.
Minister Gardner presented the school with an official plaque to be mounted at the entrance to the building, before undertaking a guiding tour of the facilities.
