Earlier this afternoon, a group of PLHS girls bid an emotional farewell to Emily Neelen, the German international student who has been with us this year. Emmi is now on her way to Bali, where she will meet her parents for a family holiday before returning home to Cologne.
Emmi has been a wonderful ambassador for her country – she has maintained a broad smile on her face throughout her time with us, and has been genuinely thankful for each new experience. Her positive attitude and infectious enthusiasm will be greatly missed by her host mother Tamara and her PLHS teachers and classmates – pictured here are (L-R) Nell Cane, Jesika Cane, Emily Neelen, Jessica Canty and Ella Stevens.
We thank Emmi for choosing Port Lincoln High School for her Australian educational experience, and wish her all the best for her bright future. She had such a great time with us that she really didn’t want to leave – don’t be surprised if you see her back in Port Lincoln sometime soon!
