Port Lincoln High School AGM and General Meeting
6:30pm Thursday February 12th, 2026
PLHS Staff Room (access via Ruskin Rd & School Lane)
Hello PLHS school community,
Tomorrow evening, we will hold our Governing Council AGM and first meeting for the year – I invite any PLHS parents, friends or community members who may like to come along, learn more, and potentially get involved. These meetings are a lovely opportunity to hear what’s happening at PLHS, reflect on where we’ve been, and look ahead to what’s coming next. We warmly welcome newcomers and fresh faces — the more voices around the table, the better.
We will also welcome 2026 School Captains Airlie Hartwich and Max Stanley to our Governing Council. We are really looking forward to hearing their ideas, insights and perspectives throughout the year.
Over the past two years, PLHS Principal Craig Akehurst and the school’s Leadership Team have been implementing — and are now showcasing — some ground-breaking work around the notion of Crew. Over the break, this got me thinking about how we, as a Governing Council, operate and how we might further strengthen the way we support and add value to our school.
During the General Meeting, Craig will report on current achievements and future planning for the school; I will then facilitate a short brainstorming session where we can reflect together and share ideas about how we can work more intentionally and effectively as a Governing Council. If you’re planning to attend, feel free to start jotting down any thoughts or ideas ahead of time.
I thank you for your ongoing support and connection with PLHS. I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can collectively achieve this year.
~ Stephanie Hoy (PLHS GC Chairperson)
