Last weekend, Adelaide’s Brighton Secondary School hosted the inaugural Sharing Best Practice conference – this (sold out) event was designed to strengthen connections between research evidence and educational methods. Over 250 participants engaged with four keynote speakers and twelve concurrent sessions, all showcasing best practice in Australian schools.
PLHS English/Literacy teacher Mrs Caroline Marshall was invited to attend and co-present a workshop with Literacy Specialist Miss Jessica Colleu Terradas. According to Jess – who is well known to PLHS staff and students – they proudly presented a session about Port Lincoln High School’s reading intervention program to a receptive audience of mostly high school teachers; their workshop sparked great interest and attracted positive feedback. Further, Jess complimented Caroline on her passionate and authentic sharing of this important initiative at PLHS.
Congratulations to Caroline (and Jess) on this wonderful professional development.
